In-Store is an app that helps shoppers get the best price when shopping in-store. They scan the product’s codebar, and the app will show a list of online sites where the item is sold for less. The shopper can request the clerk to match the price with this information.
I collaborated with this start-up, designing a mobile application that was useful, usable, and delightful for shoppers, understanding their goals and context of use. I thought about the benefits that it would generate–happy customers and increased sales for local stores. My main goal was to make the tasks easy and intuitive, minimizing the steps to get the best prices with a simple visual design and simple interaction.
